Ready to build projects
We are on the look for long-term partnership for implementation of our projects for wind power generation plants in Bulgaria.
Shabla projects comprise 10 approved sitings and valid building permits, ready to be constructed. All of our wind terrains are planned for wind turbines with output up to 2 MW, each. Connection to electricity transmission grid will be done by step-up substation 110kV with a 25 MW transformer.
The design elaboration process in the area of village of Sarnino, municipality of General Toshevo is now complete. This project comprises 4 sitings, ready-to-build, with valid building permit and offered to potential investors for implementation.
All projects can be built with both, new and used turbines. There are firms in Bulgaria providing maintenance and regular servicing of Enercon и Vestas turbines, which is the reason for us to believe that these manufacturers are the most suitable ones for our projects.
Currently elaborated projects
We are on the look for long-term partnership for implementation of our wind energy projects.
There are two projects which are currently being developed: one in the municipalities of Venets and Hitrino, Shumen district and another one in Omurtag municipality, Targovishte district.
Within the project in the Shumen district, there are 12 sitings for wind turbines up to 2.3 MW planned, with completed procedure in the Ministry of Environment and Water, approved detailed development plan for 3000 sq.m. for each of the wind generators. This project offers the option to increase the output capacity from 2.3 MW to 4.5 MW for each siting. With this change the total output capacity would amount to 45-50 MW. Connection will be done to the electricity transmission grid by a 110 kV step-up substation.
The project in Omurtag municipality comprises 6 sitings with planned capacity of up to 2.3 MW.
The projects can be done using both, new and used wind turbines. There are firms in Bulgaria offering maintenance and regular servicing of Enercon and Vestas turbines, which is the reason for us to believe that these manufacturers are the most suitable ones for our projects.

Shumen Project comprises 12 sitings, each with an approved PUP (detailed development plan) with an area of 3000 sq.m. for each wind turbine. The turbines planned are with output capacity of up to 2.3 MW for each siting, and this capacity can be increased to 4.5 MW for each siting. Total capacity of 45 to 50 MW
The procedure in the Ministry of Environment and Water (EIA – environment impact assessment) is now complete.
With Shumen Project – there is an option for connection to the Electricity transmission grid using 110 KV step-up substation.
The turnaround time for completion of the full documentation – up to the building permit is 24 months.

Completed projects
The work for elaboration of one wind energy project is a long process, which depending on its scale takes approximately 5 years. Since 2005, Borko EOOD has been elaborating different in the North-eastern Bulgaria, in the districts of Dobrich, Shumen and Targovishte. Two of the projects in the area of Dobrich district, Shabla municipality are already owned by Electrawinds and they were commissioned in 2011.
